Good Afternoon
Houston,
I must first give thanks to God, for he is truly
worthy of all the praise. I thank him for creating you and each
member of the LADWEC Music Mass Choir. For it is through all of you
that my oldest daughter Erica, found our Lord Jesus
Christ.
I came home from work on Thursday April 21, 2005 and
brought the CD '"Come Bless His Name" with me. I usually keep it at
my office and enjoy it throughout the day. Erica was in another
room working on a school project. She is a senior in high school
and with a 3.88 GPA and is getting ready to face the challenges of
the world and go off to college in the summer.
The Song titled "Oh Give Thanks, track # 4 was
playing, when I heard Erica suddenly scream. This was no ordinary
scream, like I'd heard come from her before while watching a movie.
This was more like my heart being pulled from my chest scream. I
ran to her and found her in the middle of the room standing and
crying and calling on the name of Jesus. I ran to her and embraced
her and she went limp in my arms. I could barely hold her upright.
Her sister came into the room and together we placed Erica in a
chair.
I knew in my heart and soul that she had been
touched by the Lord Jesus Christ and that she was in his presence.
I had often talked to both of my girls about my experiences of
being in the presence of the of the Lord and what a wonderful
privilege it is to be invited there. Together we prayed and I gave
thanks for allowing my child to experience the one thing that I
could not give her, "Salvation". We later talked about her
experience and she described it to me as best she could. She simply
said "mom, I feel clean and pure". I cannot express to you how much
my soul is rejoicing today. It never ceases to amaze me how God
ministers to his children, he knows exactly what it takes to touch
our souls and command our attention.
So again Thank you and "I'm glad about it", being
saved.
