Houston Brown,

Born March 28, 1955 in Roanoke, Virginia, he is a graduate
of Virginia State University with a BS degree in accounting.
After graduation, he was employed by several Fortune 500 companies
such as General Motors, MCI, and etc. Later, under the
inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Mr. Brown recognized the financial
plight of many small to medium size churches and established
Houston & Associates, LLC for the sole purpose of providing
specialized financial services for nonprofit organizations.
He is one of few Black entrepreneurs on the USA East Coast to
establish such a business. As President and CEO, with a staff
of 5 professionals, they have serviced over 150 nonprofit
organizations, including providing accounting and tax services for
individuals, since it's inception in 1991. His expertise
carries him across the USA as consultant, seminar speaker and
meeting planner.
Mr. Brown serves on numerous
boards of directors, the recipient of several business awards, and
is a member of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc.,
the Maryland Society of Accountants, the Religious Conference
Management Association, National Federation of Independent
Businesses, and the International Who's Who of Professionals.
A member of Church of Jesus Christ, Inc., he holds positions as
Corporate Secretary, Trustee, Deacon and Business Manager.
The success of Houston Brown's entrepreneurships has been featured
in the Maryland Gazette, RCMA Magazine, Prince George's Journal
Business Review and other publications.
Houston Brown, Jr., the proud father of three sons, Houston
III, Timothy and Philip, and Grandfather of Houston IV, currently
resides in Fort Washington, Maryland.
